About this Event

Ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors at the Museum? What’s a Conservator? Where and how do things get ‘fixed’? Join our Conservator for a hands-on object identification, condition checking, cleaning and packing session.

Sessions run from 10 AM to 12 noon or from 1 PM to 3 PM.

These sessions involve handling taxidermy and objects that need cleaning, so they are unsuitable for those with allergies to animal fur and dust. However, they are fully accessible.

Family sessions are suited to families with children from age 5. Younger siblings are welcome to watch but cannot participate.

The SPILL Centre is fully accessible via the Museum Gardens and the rear of the Ipswich Art Gallery. For helpful information, such as how to find the SPILL Centre and what facilities they have, we recommend reading their information: Access at SPILL Centre

£10 per adult, £5 per child. At least one adult must book into the session.
