About this Event

Discover the magic of art in the Mansion by crafting your very own paper puppet! Dive into a world of creativity as you turn simple materials like paper and cardboard into vibrant characters, drawing inspiration from the Mansion’s exquisite collection of painted portraits and landscapes. We’ll provide all the materials you need to bring your imagination to life.

This event is suitable for ages 7-17. Please note, parents and carers are required to stay with their children for the duration of the event.

But there’s more to this workshop than meets the eye – it’s a part of the larger ‘Art in the Heart of Ipswich’ project. Celebrating the Ipswich Art Society’s monumental 150th Anniversary in 2024, this initiative promises a line-up of engaging events across Ipswich, from captivating exhibitions to interactive workshops. Hosted in iconic locations including Christchurch Mansion, The Hold, the University of Suffolk, and The East Anglian Traditional Art Centre, it’s an artistic adventure not to be missed.
