About this Event

Inspired by the Marvellous Machines exhibition in Ipswich Art Gallery, we’re rounding off our schools STEM week with a science day.

+ explore the museum’s engineering and technology collections

+ meet local STEM enthusiasts and club members

+ demonstrations and hands-on activities

+ learn more about the technology our descendants relied on in the past

Are you a local STEM club, society or enthusiast? Want to share your passion for science and technology with our family audiences? Please email us at to register your interest and find out more.

Local schools and youth groups are welcome to bring along groups of children who have worked together to design and construct a marvellous machine of their own and host a stall that shows off their creations to the visiting public. Please contact us in advance to organise this.

Complementing the Marvellous Machines exhibition, we will be hosting a STEM Schools Week to support your pupils’ understanding of science, technology and engineering –  7th and 11th October 2019.

This event is free to all.
