Suitable for KS2
During this hands-on session uncover the history of Ipswich by taking on the roles of a local family living through the Second World War.
Activities include:
- Building a model air raid shelter
- Sending coded messages on the working Morse Code machine
- Using real and replica Second World War objects to role-play the characters, including telephones, gas masks, ration books and clothing.
Minimum and maximum group sizes: 20 to 60 pupils.
Adult:Pupil ratio: 1:6
Duration: 120 minutes, 10am – 12.30pm
