What’s That Rock?
Suitable for KS2
In this half-day interactive session pupils will explore rocks and soils using science and English skills. They will investigate different types of rocks and soils by using gallery displays and handling collections to practice scientific enquiry skills, including observation and prediction. They will be introduced to the rock cycle and the three main groups of rocks, investigate these groups more closely, learn about what soils are made of and their properties, before testing everything they have learned in a fun discussion at the end.
